The MPPT Charge Controllers for battery charging of autonomous solar systems use a smart algorithm for detecting the point of maximum power of the solar panel, depending on the sunlight and temperature, thus maximising the system’s efficiency for about 20-30%, in contrast with regular charge controllers.

The MPPT charge controller is continuously monitoring the various environmental and solar system’s parameters, such as temperature, sunshine level, voltage and amber produced by the solar panel, current battery voltage etc., and transfers more amber than what the solar panel can produce at any time, towards the battery. This cannot be done by a regular PWT charge controller.
